Clean and pretty. Nice place to take walks

Quiet and private camp sights. The rangers are very friendly and helpful.

This is a nice park. There isn't much hiking (only a half mile trail) and it's very close to the road, so you can hear cars and sirens through the night. Some of the campsites are small, but almost all of them offer a lot of privacy. They are nice and well maintained. Kayaks are pretty affordable comparable to other parks. The lake is really nice to kayak on until you hit the overpass, then there are just a lot of houses. Overall, a nice place, but not the best place to get away from it all. Would make a great picnic location.

We stayed for 2 nights. Jeremy, the park ranger on duty, was a great guy. He was very welcoming and even stopped by our site right after we checked in to make sure we were settling in ok. The shower houses are clean and set up nicely. The kayaking was a great time. Our children really enjoyed it! We were visiting family in the area. This was a great place to set up camp to sleep. The sites were all very secluded from each other which was nice for privacy.

Me and my boyfriend called on the phone and they were so quick to book us and take our money. We decided to look somewhere else thinking it was free. We went to the free campsite next to Lake Griffin State Park and that was closed. We decided to take up the offer of paying for the campsite but when we got there the story was changed to "Oh I am sorry, you cannot stay here because of the damage Hurricane Irma has done". We explained to the staff that the lady was quick to take our money but didn't let us know about the damage. The staff had no clue what we were talking about and recommended other campsites that were closed as well. We decided to camp out down the hill on the side of the bridge next to the entrance. Late at night we started hearing FOOTSTEPS!!! in the forest within their gates next to us. This went on for most of the night.
